If you or a loved one are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, Cummins is here to help. No matter what you may be going through, we provide someone to contact, someone to respond, and a safe place for help.

Someone To Contact

Any person who is experiencing a behavioral health crisis may call our Telephone Crisis Hotline to speak with a trained Crisis Intervention professional.

Our crisis team will ask a few questions to understand your situation, then develop a plan to support you and help you stay safe. They will also consider the support and safety of any other individuals involved, such as children and family members. If appropriate, they may dispatch our Mobile Crisis Response Team to assist in resolving the crisis.

Once the situation is safe, our team may suggest additional services to support you or refer you for follow-up care with a Cummins treatment team, with your consent.

You can call our Crisis Hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (888) 714-1927, Ext 1501 or Option 1. The Indiana 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is also available for 24/7 crisis support; just dial 988 on your phone.

Someone To Respond

Our Mobile Crisis Response Team is trained to intervene and assist individuals experiencing a behavioral health or substance use crisis at the place of incidence, without requiring individuals to travel to a care facility. The team can work with community organizations, schools, first responders, and law enforcement to provide crisis prevention, response, and "post-vention" (follow up) services.

Mobile Crisis Response Team members are equipped with special Mobile Crisis Bags (pictured below), which contain a variety of important items that may be needed for prevention, response, and post-vention. This includes doses of naloxone (Narcan), first aid kits, gun locks, and items to help support and engage children.

Our Mobile Crisis Response Team is a designated provider with the Indiana 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and can assist any individual living near Avon, IN. If you live outside of Hendricks County, please call 988 and ask for the most appropriate mobile crisis team near you.

The Mobile Crisis Response Team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
